Great 3D at home!

UPDATE 3-13-10
It has been over a month since the last updated.  I apologize to keep you all waiting.  I've been trying to find a suitable solution to get rid of my remaining inventory without overselling since I do not currently have inventory control in my shopping cart program.

UPDATE 2-10-10
The Final Destination/changes in the site:
The time has come for some major changes in my site.  However, dozens of you have written practically BEGGING me to offer "The Final Destination" in HD 3D.  I initially was not planning to work on any more titles, but you all persuaded me!  This will be my final OFFICIAL offering on this site (more on that below)
Here is the plan:
Until about the end of February, I will be selling HD titles EXCLUSIVELY.  You will notice that none of my other titles are available for sale at this time.  Toward the end of February/early March, however, you will be given one final chance to buy SOME of the field sequential or anaglyph titles.  In the coming weeks I will be going through my inventory and finding out exactly what titles I have left and how many of each.  Then, in late February/early march, I will be posting a number next to each title which will indicate how many are available of each title.  Then, once they are gone, they are REALLY gone for good.  When everything is gone, I will likely take a break from the site for a time.  Keep checking back though as I do have some plans for the site to cater to all of the 3D enthusiasts out there!
Many of you have asked questions like "if you're not going to be selling these movies anymore, how will I get my 3D fix?"  Well, there is some great news on that.  As many of you know, last December, an official 3D Blu ray 3D full color format was announced!  The bad news is that with most new technology, this is going to require everyone to buy even MORE equipment (a new player, new content, new glasses, new transmitters... oh, and did I mention that NONE of the currently 3D-ready displays will be compatible with the new players- so you'll have to buy a whole new TV!)  Nonetheless, there will also be some software based solutions that will allow all of our current 3D-ready TVs to be compatible with the new discs (using a computer to run the content rather than the new Blu ray players)
This is certainly not the end for 3D enthusiasts and I would not be so arrogant to believe that my website is holding the 3D community together lol!  It's been wonderful though to receive such kind and supportive e-mails from fellow enthusiasts.  With this said, it's important to me that we are able to keep in touch.  You can feel free to write me at any time at: underground3dmovies@gmail.com
A couple of last words on 3D projects and DVDs:
First, there are several projects that I was very excited about that I never got to or at least never got put up on the site.  I do plan eventually to finish some of these projects.  However, they will NOT go up for sale to the public on the site.  The only way to find out about them is to keep in touch.  An easy thing you can do is to request to be put on my mailing list.  If you did not receive the e-mail about my site shutting down/changing, chances are, you are NOT on the list.  If you'd like to get updates that will not be available on the site, simply send a request with the subject "mailing list" to underground3dmovies@gmail.com
Second, several of you have already requested field sequential or anaglyph DVDs.  Since this whole thing started I've been behind on my e-mails, but please rest assured that those of you who are WAITING for DVDs or waiting for a response from me will STILL get your DVDs.  After this, however,I am cutting off field sequential and anaglyph DVDs sales.  This means, that starting today, if an e-mail is received from this point forward, I will not be offering DVDs to you.  However, do check back late February/early March.

UPDATE 1/20/10
Only 45 more e-mails to go...  I've been bouncing around on the e-mails a bit answering the ones that require brief answers first... If you haven't heard from me yet, I WILL get to you... ASAP.  Right now I need sleep :)

We have received well over 100 e-mails in the last DAY asking "what's going on?... What happened to your shopping cart... etc"

WHAT HAPPENED
When I first posted, I posted the entire long story about what happened.  If you feel the need to know the details, e-mail me and I'll gladly fill you in.  Basically though, here is what happened:
Paypal limited my account until I removed the Paypal buttons from my site on items they felt violated their acceptable use policy.  I disagreed that the items violated their policy, but repeated appeals on my part were denied and for that reason, I have removed the buttons to avoid closure of my Paypal account.

WHAT NOW?
Although this all came as a bit of a surprise and was a frustrating process to work though, I've had mixed feelings about it over the last few days.  My original purpose in starting this site was to have a hobby for myself.  What I wanted from the beginning was to find other 3D enthusiasts and build a collection of 3D movies for myself and others to enjoy.  In that way, the site has served it's purpose.  I never imagined maintaining this site forever.  I knew there would come a day when it would be time to shut it down and move on.  After all, this is an INSANE amount of work!  So, when this all first happened, my initial response was "well, I guess the time has come to shut the site down." 
Paypal has been the driving force to making these movies available.  I thought as soon as I took the buttons down, the orders would stop.  However, I have gotten a FLOOD of e-mails from many of you asking where to send the check for more! (and I will get to every e-mail.  Please be patient with me) I also received several orders from Ioffer.com (I've now pulled my DVDs from there voluntarily... sorry guys.  I don't want my Paypal account getting shut down) 
With all this said, currently here is my plan (though this is subject to change):
I may be wrong here, but I'm guessing that the flood of e-mails is from enthusiasts who just want to put in that "one last order" before the site goes down or it changes.  I plan to accept checks, money orders or Western Union for a time until the orders dwindle down.  Then at a date in the near future (TBA) I will be pulling my DVDs from the site entirely.  I realize there are other payment options out there and I COULD continue the site exactly how it is with but just with a merchant's account, Google checkout, or something else.  I'm quite sure I won't be doing that.  Although I go back and forth on this, I'm fairly certain it's time to move on.  Don't worry though.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel.  I plan to maintain this website and use it for 3D related purposes (of course!)  I have a few ideas already which I'm very excited about.  I won't go into detail, but let's just say the site will maintain it's original purpose- to connect 3D enthusiasts together and to get 3D material into the hands of those enthusiasts.  I'm always open to other suggestions as well though.

ORDERS AND E-MAILS
When I announced Paypal was being taken down and our site may be closing or changing, I was NOT prepared for the response!  So many of you put in "last minute orders" that I literally could NOT keep up!  I have spent every second I've HAD since then filling orders.  I did not have a moment to BREATHE!  With this said, I managed to get every single order out the door and in the mail today with the exception of 2 orders that were paid by "e-check" in which case I will send when the check clears.  If you are in the U.S. you should have received a confirmation from USPS and if you are over seas or in Canada, you should have received a personal confirmation from me.  If you did NOT receive a confirmation, please let me know.  If you are outside of the U.S. it could be something as simple as that I overlooked sending the confirmation.  However, according to my records, every single order made it out today (for the first time in the site's history I had to make SEVERAL trips to the post office to accomplish this!)
As I mentioned, I have well over 100 e-mails (and counting) to answer.  I plan to spend the next few days answering each one individually.  If you asked something like "what happened?" I will answer you personally to say hello, but will then direct you here as I would be answering e-mails for the next 6 months if I wrote this out to each person who asked :)
Please be patient.  I know a lot of you are waiting to send checks etc.  I am actually out of a lot of stuff right now due to the order volume I experienced over the last couple of days (it was about 2 months worth of orders in 1 day!)
I am restocking, rearranging and reassessing.  If I have not answered your e-mail yet, just know that it will be answered soon.

On a personal note, I TRULY appreciate all of your support.  I've read every single e-mail I've gotten even if I have not responded yet.  I'm overwhelmed by the kind words and support that you all have given!  It's really been a great deal of fun and an amazing journey maintaining this site and meeting so many great people!  Keep enjoying the 3D.  I'll continue to keep this page current if any updates occur.  Keep in touch!  Thanks again!
